Puigmajor is a minimal home, yet full of meaning. Designed for the retirement of a much-loved client of the Esteve family, this house embodies the essence of what is truly necessary: a simple, efficient, affordable, and easy-to-maintain home. The most beautiful part is that part of the construction was carried out by the owner herself, accompanied by our team — a reminder that architecture is also proximity, guidance, and collaboration.

This project is a statement of principles: a home that is modest, dignified, and sufficient. At Puigmajor, we designed a house for the retirement of a client with whom we share a close and trusting relationship. Guided by the philosophy of “less but better,” the home is efficient, easy to maintain, and perfectly adapted to the real needs of its inhabitant. What made this process truly exceptional was the client’s direct participation in the construction of her own home — literally putting her hands into the work. At Esteve Arquitectes, we acted as guides, offering technical advice and human accompaniment throughout the entire process. It is a project humble in scale but immense in meaning, showing that architecture can also be accessible, shared, and deeply personal.
