Llavaneres

At the top of a steep hillside in Llavaneres, where the landscape of the Maresme blends into the Mediterranean horizon, stands a home that defies gravity. At first glance, it appears humble and discreet: a horizontal line merging with the landscape, concealing—like a play of illusion—its true magnitude.

Seaside residence

The walls, naturally weathered with rust, tell the story of time, as if the house had grown from the very red earth beneath it. They converse with the white limestone that clads the façade, in a bold yet serene contrast that evokes the encounter between untamed nature and the human hand that shapes it. The building’s skin rises as a testament to both strength and lightness—to what is organic and what is solid.

Crossing the threshold, the house unfolds across three levels, following the natural slope of the terrain like a river finding its course. Each floor, hidden from view at the entrance, opens into generous spaces that respect the surroundings and look towards the sun. Here, sustainability is not a whim but a philosophy—every corner is designed to respect and coexist with the natural rhythm of the environment.

Built under the principles of bioconstruction, the house breathes with its surroundings. Living materials interact with the land, capturing the energy of the sun and wind, integrating into the landscape in a dance of efficiency and respect for nature. This home is not merely a shelter—it is an extension of the landscape, a place where humanity reconciles with nature through architectural harmony.
